Competition limbo aircraft
BDX Jet
A streamlined, team-designed aircraft built to slip cleanly beneath the limbo ribbon during one of the show’s most precise challenges.

Designed to go low—and stay under control.
The BDX Jet was designed by the Litespeed team specifically for the competition limbo segment. Its clean, streamlined profile helps it pass beneath the ribbon while the pilot manages speed, height, and alignment inside the gym.
The airframe is built from thin 3 mm EPP foam and carries Zeeco flame graphics and logos across its white surfaces. At 165 grams, it combines light weight with the span and stability needed for a precise, crowd-pleasing run.

What students can notice.
Design follows the challenge
The streamlined airframe was shaped around one clear objective: pass cleanly beneath the limbo ribbon.
Precision matters
A successful run depends on controlling speed, height, alignment, and timing at the same time.
Thin materials can perform
The 3 mm EPP structure shows how a lightweight material can create a large, responsive aircraft.
